In a Contest with several strong favourites vying for the ultimate prize till the last minute, Safura gave a truly breathtaking performance finishing on a prestigious 5th place. For Azerbaijan, which has participated in Eurovision for the third time only, Safura’s act continues a strong and stable trend of top 10 ESC performances.

Last night May 28th Eurovision 2009 winner Alexander Rybak came to Safura’s make-up room to wish her all the best before big night of Eurovision 2010 Final. Alexander and Safura know each other since Azerbaijani national selection. “You need to take in everything. You’ve got great voice, amazing stage performance, I saw your rehearsal and I love it as well as your song ‘Drip Drop’. Stay focused and everything will work out fine”, - said Rybak. By the way, Safura and Rybak bonded not only backstage but on stage too – Safura will perform right after last year’s winner in Grand Final today. Are you ready to vote for number 1? On May 28th after amazing second semi-final results Azerbaijan celebrated one of the biggest holidays in the Land of Fire – The Day of Azerbaijani Republic. Of course, Safura couldn’t miss this show. She appeared on stage of Eurovision Village and performed Drip Drop for everybody there. Public was blown away by Safura’s huge voice, her energy on stage and passionate performance. Than last year’s Azerbaijani participant AySel took a stage with remarkable show. By the way, she came to Oslo to support Safura. “Safura got great potential. She is amazing on stage. I’m routing for her from all my heart”, - said AySel. After performing at Eurovision Village Safura got back to Telenor Arena to continue rehearsals for tomorrow’s Final.
Today rehearsals for Final of Eurovision 2010 have been started at Telenor Arena in Oslo. Safura was the first on the stage with her lucky number one. Opening the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 is Safura’s latest and arguably biggest challenge on her entire Eurovision path but it’s also fun. According to the results of the draw, the Azerbaijani artist will perform as the first act on the Big Night on 29th May, a much craved but also much feared spot for a great many Eurovision performers.
Just one day before the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Safura's official website Safura.eurovisiontalents.com celebrated its first 1,000,000 unique visitors since the site began functioning just 2 and a half months ago.
